At San Juan Canvas, we create handmade, reclaimed sailcloth bags. Each tote, duffel and pouch are sewn one-by-one on fabulous, hardworking vintage sewing machines in our historic sail loft overlooking the bay in Friday Harbor, Washington.
We reclaim fabric from sails that have run their course at sea, and transform that it into beautiful, durable bags that will serve our customers for years to come.
Our work is inspired by the individual character of each sail, and as a result every bag has a story to tell. We get excited about the details, and love finding ways to make old stitching, weathered grommets and original sail numbers shine.
